Snoop Dogg Talks Next Generation of NFL Superstars

The rapper's youth league has seen several players go pro.

While the country is awaiting the outcome of today's game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, rapper and football aficionado Snoop Dogg has his eyes on something beyond the Super Bowl.
Snoop has sponsored a youth football league for many years that has now seen several players turn pro. The artist is now talking about the next generation of NFL greats.

"We did a great job as far as establishing this football league years ago," he told Billboard before performing at the DirecTV Super Fan Fest on Friday, adding that pro players are "coming out left and right" from his league.

One of those is running back Ronnie Hillman, who was in Dogg's league growing up. Hillman was part of last year's Denver Broncos team that made it to the Super Bowl against the Seahawks.
In a few years, Snoop hints, one of his own sons may become NFL material.
In anticipation of Superbowl Sunday, Snoop hosted his annual Snooperbowl 2015 at a Phoenix high school. He said the event is about giving the players "hopes and aspirations to make it on and off the field."
As far as a comment on the recent arrest of his former mentor Suge Knight, who ran over two men and killed one in a hit-and-run on a film set in Compton last week, Snoop remained silent. "I have to get Marshawn Lynch on you," he said.
