iLoveMakonnen may have lost the Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration to Eminem's and Rihanna's "The Monster," but the hip hop newbie isn't discouraged one bit as RiRi is one of many who have signed on to feature on his debut project.
Speaking with MTV News on the 2015 Grammys red carpet, the "Tuesday" performer discussed his forthcoming project, which is panning out to be a star-studded affair. "Diplo, Skrillex, Snoop Dogg, Drake, Rihanna," he listed when asked of the set of collaborators on the LP. "I love Rihanna. We're just working on some ideas and stuff, but it's going to happen in due time."
iLoveMakonnen has had a steady rise to prominence over the past year, especially following Drizzy's remix to his smash "Club Goin' Up on a Tuesday." With the overwhelming amount of success coming his way, the new artist is just taking it all in. "It's been a whirlwind. It doesn't stop," he said. "I'm just still in the air enjoying it... When I come down, hopefully I land on my feet."
The OVO artist revealed that his debut album will drop in June or July and he will begin a promotional tour before the LP's release in April.
