TMZ reports that Tuesday (Feb. 17), while performing in Biloxi, Miss., Afroman was approached by a woman who got on stage then, without a warning, he turned around and punched her in the face with his right hand.

Witnesses say that even though the victim fell to the floor bleeding and crying, Afroman, 40, continued performing as if nothing happened. Once the house lights came on and the music stopped, security escorted the woman off the stage and cops proceeded to arrest Afroman.

According to the "Because I Got High" rapper's reps, he could not differentiate if the fan was a man or a woman, triggering a reflex reaction to the incident. The rep also claims that there was a lack of security at the Mississippi venue.

Later that night, Afroman was booked for assault, then released after paying a $330 bond.
