While making the promo rounds in support of their latest joint effort, Fan of a Fan 2, Chris Brown and Tyga hit up Hot 97 to discuss music, label drama, women and even managed to fit a clever Drake impersonation in there.
Talking jokingly about his recent headline-making beef with Cash Money records, Tyga told Hot 97 newcomer Ness Nitty that he is slowly making his departure from the label: "I'm leaving," he said. "I'm my own man. But at the end of the day, I've got the utmost respect for Wayne, but I think the business just wasn't right and I didn't see my career being able to get to the next level with the people around."
When Nitty then mentioned Brown's uncharacteristically calm and drama-free lifestyle as of late, the R&B crooner said, "It's great. I'm staying my a** out of trouble." The interview then segued into talks about the current status of his relationship with on-again-off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran:
"She's on the bus right now," he said. "The hardest part, honestly, is trying to keep a monogamous relationship but still wanting to be the 25-year-old sex symbol."
After the "girl talk," the conversation took a detour with Breezy and Tyga's beef with Drake being introduced. After the "Loyal" singer poked fun at the "Worst Behavior" rapper by mimicking his "soft" voice, he terminated the topic, saying, "We not getting no check about talking 'bout dude. We giving him a lot of pub."
The most uncomfortable segment came when the topic of Tyga's relationship with 17-year-old Kylie Jenner was brought up. While the "Rack City" rapper remained mum about the details of their rumored romance, Breezy commented on Amber Rose's spirited response to the oddly matched couple, saying that it's not anyone's business but theirs: "Nobody should speak on nobody else's situation," he said.
Elsewhere in the sit-down, the pair talk about filming a movie together, Tyga's determination to leave Cash Money and Brown's respect for Kanye West.
