Kanye West: Obama Knows He Called the Home Phone

Yeezus insists POTUS has hit him on the landline, despite what was said on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The status on the bromance between Kanye West and President Barack Obama: complicated.

"I love Obama, he's called our house before, he knows that," Kanye said during a recent, and surprisingly decent, run-in with paparazzi.

Kanye made the original claim, "Obama calls the house phone by the way," during his speech at Oxford University's Museum of Natural History.

President Obama then responded this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live! "I met Kanye twice," he said. "The first time when I was a Senator, and he was with his mom and he had just gotten big. He's from Chicago and so they wanted to meet, and he was very soft spoken, very gracious.…"

The audience soaked that in for a moment.

"He hadn't quite come into his own," Obama continued. Then, he said, while "he's incredibly creative, I don't think I have his home number."

Various derivatives of "Kanye West is a Liar" hit the headlines soon after. Still, Kanye was all smiles when the cameras turned back to him. "Don't try to pit us against each other," he said.
