Fans of the hit FOX drama Empire have proven their dedication by pushing the series' soundtrack to the No. 1 spot, besting the sales of Madonna's latest project, Rebel Heart.

Moving 130,000 total units, the Empire Original Soundtrack From Season 1 is now the first television soundtrack to debut atop the Billboard 200 albums chart in five years, an honor previously held by the former hit musical series Glee. Pushing the envelope even farther, Empire also managed to cross the one-million mark in digital single sales to date.

Thanks to Billboard's newly added component of streaming, the soundtrack pushed 9,000 more units than Madonna's 13th studio LP, which was expected to go to No. 1 but landed in second place.

The Empire soundtrack features several fan favorites from the show, including "No Apologies," "You're So Beautiful" and the catchy "Drip Drop." In addition to performances from cast members Jussie Smollett and Bryshere Gray, also known as Yazz, some of music's biggest names also appear on the project, including Juicy J, Jennifer Hudson, Estelle, Mary J. Blige and Rita Ora.

The Empire Original Soundtrack From Season 1 is currently available on music shelves and across all digital music retailers.
