Uncle Snoop is going down memory lane, developing a new series for HBO. The show is set to focus around the happenings in 1980s Los Angeles.
According to CBS News, the Doggfather, 43, made the announcement during his keynote address at SXSW, revealing that he is working with Roots executive producer Allen Hughes on the project.
"HBO is the No. 1 network in the world as far as developing and having these types of shows come to life," he said. "This is a dream come true to be able to tell a story that's going to be told the right way on the right network."
The former gangsta rapper is a proud California native, born in Long Beach. Hughes is also no rookie to films in this wheelhouse, as his credits include Menace II Society, Dead Presidents and The Book of Eli.
