Ludacris Says Beef With Drake Is Over

"Call Your Bluff" MC talks ending his five-year hiatus from music.

The Mouf of the Souf is back in full hunger-mode for his next release, Ludaversal, but he insists he's not chomping at the bit over any Drake beef.

"There's no one person in particular," he said of who he takes aim at in his recent drop, "Call Your Bluff," in a chat this week with The Breakfast Club"...Me and Drake had our thing, though. He came to me and apologized to me like a man."

While he didn't offer any details, he said he thinks the drama with the "How About Now" rapper started with a "true story" over a mutual acquaintance (which sounds a little familiar). Still, the song is really about giving the people that "old Ludacris" they kept asking for, he said.

"I will never take five years off to make an album ever again," he promised.

As for his hiatus, he said, "I just wanted to take a little time off... travel the world."

This next LP, his eighth (and the penultimate one of his current Def Jam agreement) is a little venomous, blended with songs like "Good Lovin'," which was a fan favorite pulled from an EP he dropped "quietly" in between time, Burning Bridges. "I think everyone can relate to that because you don't hear that from a man's perspective. Guys don't want to admit, look, I didn't mean to break your heart. I didn't purposely mean to break you like that," he offers of the latter.

"This album," he said, "is back to the basics."

Ludaversal is expected March 31.
