Empire Producer to 'Beg' Eminem to Be on the Show

Brian Grazer also wants to get Oprah Winfrey to join the cast.

Fox's newest blockbuster hit Empire has dominated Wednesday nights, and Eminem has contributed to its steadily rising viewership. Billboard reports that Brian Grazer, whose Imagine TV produces Empire, said that the rapper is a huge fan of the show and even hinted at a possibility of getting him to make an appearance.

"Eminem, I know, loves our show," Grazer said on Good Morning America. "And I produced 8 Mile. I'm going to beg him to get on our show. He and Oprah Winfrey. Somehow, I'm going to get one or both of them on our show."

Getting these two stars on the second season of the drama may not be as far-fetched as expected as Grazer has a long-standing history with the "Lose Yourself" rapper, having worked with him on past films. Also, Winfrey joining the cast may be possible as Lee Daniels, Empire's executive producer, directed her in The Butler.

Brian Grazer was on the show to promote his new book, A Curious Mind: The Secret to a Bigger Life. The famed producer's résumé is quite proficient as he has worked on television smashes like Arrested Development, Parenthood, Friday Night Lights and 24.
