Turk Weighs in on Young Thug Naming His Album Carter 6

Former Hot Boys rapper talks Cash Money drama with The Breakfast Club.

Turk sat down with The Breakfast Club this morning and had a lot to say about all things Cash Money. The former Hot Boys member spoke on his lawsuit against the label and Birdman as well as a few personal issues, like being clean for 11 years and his wife fighting cancer.

He also weighed in on Young Thug naming his new project Carter 6, an issue that has fanned the flames of the current rift between Lil Wayne and Cash Money.

Turk thinks the controversy around the album title is a bit overblown. "I think it's slick. I think Young Thug wants to be Wayne," he said. "Whether directly or indirectly, he done said it and it be contradicting statements when he talk, but I believe he looks up to Wayne. I think the media is making it like that [disrespectful] and he's running with it because he loves the attention."

When asked about Wayne naming his third album 500 Degreez when Juvenile was going to war with Cash Money, the New Orleans rapper shed more light on the past and present situations. "I was locked up so I can't speak on that...but I feel like you can really name your album whatever you want. You got a freedom of speech. I don't see no problem with it, but when you have all that other stuff coming with it, trying to make fun and stuff, that's the disrespect and I'm strong on respect."

Check out the video now as Turk goes in depth about his current relationships with Juvenile, Mannie Fresh and Wayne and the future of The Hot Boys.
