Hearing Delayed for Suspect in Death of Nicki Minaj’s Tour Manager
A hearing for the man accused of fatally stabbing Nicki Minaj’s tour manager and wounding another man has been delayed until later this month, reports the Associated Press.
Pierce Boykin, 31, is charged with murdering Devon Pickett, 29, outside a Philadelphia bar. The preliminary hearing — which will determine if there is enough evidence for a trial — was moved to April 28, a judge said Wednesday. The date was delayed over “conflicts with witnesses,” according to NBC Philadelphia.
Boykin reportedly stabbed Pickett and another victim, Eric Parker, following a verbal argument that started inside the location. He’s been charged with several other offenses for the altercation including terroristic threats, aggravated assault, and simple assault.
Minaj’s crew members were in Philadelphia rehearsing for her upcoming North American PinkPrint Tour.
