Say Goodbye to Christopher Breaux

Frank Ocean is going by his stage name now.

Christopher Breaux’s legal name is no more, according to TMZ

In March 2014, he filed legal documents in Los Angeles to change his name given at birth (Christopher Edwin Breaux) to his stage name Frank Ocean. However, the judge denied his request at first due to legal issues: tickets for expired insurance, driving with his headlights off and going over the speed limit.

Other artists who have reverted to their government name include Bow Wow (Shad Moss) and Mos Def (Yasiin Bey).

Frank Ocean’s unofficial mixtape, The Lonny Breaux Collection, is the last release under the Breaux moniker.
