D'Angelo and His Heavenly Voice Will Tour the States

D'Angelo announces The Second Coming Tour.

Missed D’Angelo’s comeback New York City performance at Harlem’s Apollo Theater earlier this year? Stop kicking yourself. The soul music savior is going back on the road to bring his stellar Black Messiah LP to the stage in a town (hopefully) near you.
Backed by his epic band The Vanguard, D has added summer dates to The Second Coming Tour, which has already trekked through European cities like London and Amsterdam. Beginning June 7 in Oakland, Calif., the 14-city leg will take the States, touching Los Angeles, Atlanta, NYC and major cities in between.

Tickets to see the 41-year-old crooner at Forest Hills Stadium in New York are currently on sale at blackmessiah.co; tickets for shows in all other cities are available starting May 1 at 10 a.m.
D’Angelo and The Vanguard’s Black Messiah was released in December, marking the legendary singer’s first album in nearly 15 years. The LP, which topped several album-of-the-year lists, features instant classics (“Really Love”) and political vents (“The Charade”) alike.
