Justin Bieber crashing a high school prom over the weekend isn’t sitting well with the L.A. Unified School District, TMZ reports. The Biebs was recording on the same lot where Chatsworth High School students were holding their prom, so he stopped by and hit the dance floor.

The L.A. Unified School District claims that Bieber forced his way through the door, despite assuring school administrators that he wouldn’t “interfere” with the prom. “His entourage pushed past the school's security to gain access to the dance floor,” a rep for the school district said in a statement. 

There was also a worry over crowd control, but students didn't look like they got too rowdy at the “once in a life-time” experience.

Bieber’s rep said the story is being flipped, and that the 21-year-old pop star was invited by some of the students. "It's unfortunate they're trying to make this a negative thing. It was awesome for all the kids."
