Mariah Carey Denies Dissing Nick Cannon
Mariah Carey denies that her new single, “Infinity,” is a diss aimed at ex Nick Cannon. The song is about “loving yourself first,” Carey said in an interview with Extra Monday (April 27).
"'Infinity' is like love equals you first,” she said. “There's a section of the song where it's like a chant — 'You're leaving, you're leaving, you're out the door infinity loving me more and more' — meaning you have to love yourself first. It can't be all about somebody else's thing or their issues, it has to be you and then you can deal with the rest of the things in your life."
The 45-year-old singer is in Las Vegas preparing for her residency launching in May. She was welcomed to the city with an elaborate celebration featuring a brigade of 18 trucks displaying each of her No. 1 hits.
