Forbes just released their list of the five wealthiest hip hop artists in 2015.
Usually, the honor of the richest man in rap goes to Dr. Dre, but this year it’s different. Diddy beats out Dre with a net worth of $735 million, which is due to his various companies he has his hands in like Revolt, Ciroc and AQUAhydrate.
Dre is at number two, while Jay Z, 50 Cent and Birdman fall into sequential spots respectfully. Jay Z has his new music-streaming service, Tidal, that could be a valuable asset to him going forward. Birdman, however, has dipped a bit, possibly due to rumors that Lil Wayne is leaving Cash Money Records. And 50 Cent maintains his stature on this list with various business ventures in SMS headphones, Effen vodka and Frigo underwear.
Check out the breakdown below:
1. Diddy - $735 Million
2. Dr. Dre - $700 Million
3. Jay Z - $550 Million
4. 50 Cent - $155 Million
5. Birdman - $150 Million
