Drake to Host Houston Appreciation Weekend Again
Drake’s love for Houston doesn’t go unnoticed, especially when he has dropped the city’s name in his songs numerous times. Now, it looks like he’s about to make his affection for H-Town an annual event.
Last year, Drake hosted his first Houston Appreciation Weekend to draw attention to charity driven events by him. The events help fund Houston’s non-profit organizations so they can carry out their philanthropic missions within the community. One of the highlights is a celebrity softball game (open to the public) that benefits the Houston Astro’s Urban Youth Academy.
This year, Drake is doing it all over again during Memorial Day Weekend. For a city that declared June 10 as Drake Day, Drizzy has no problem returning the favor.
Here are the details of the HAW softball game for those of you who can make it out.
Friday, May 22 at the University of Houston’s Cougar Field, gates open at 5:30 p.m.
