Kanye West Says He Was ‘Grossly Over-Censored’ at Billboard Awards

Yeezy apologizes to television viewers for performance.

Kanye West thinks ABC censors overdid it during his Sunday performance at the Billboard Music Awards and he's apologizing to television viewers.

In a statement released Tuesday, Yeezy said he was "grossly over-censored" and is sorry for television viewers who were "unable to enjoy the performance the way he envisioned," as reported by the Associated Press.

'Ye ripped through records like "All Day" and "Black Skinhead" on Sunday, but ABC censored his lyrics, some of which were muted for 30 seconds. West feels like the censoring misrepresented his voice and threw off his performance. The MGM Grand Garden Arena audience in Las Vegas booed during stretches of West's performance.

ABC didn't immediately respond Tuesday to a request from the Associated Press for comment.
