Jay Rock Returns With 'Money Trees Deuce'

Are we ready for another Jay Rock project yet?
After sporadic releases last year, the TDE veteran is back with “Money Trees Deuce.” While Kendrick Lamar has made his jazz influences clear with To Pimp a Butterfly, Rock is now the next rapper out of the TDE camp to play around with the genre too. Over more mellow production, the gruff rapper still delivers some strong verses about grinding to the top. The track is produced by Flippa and J Proof, and is the follow-up to “Pay for It” in October.
The name “Money Trees” is a continuation of K. Dot’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city single, which Rock was featured on. Listen to part two on his SoundCloud.
