Justin Bieber Found Guilty of Assault

Canadian court holds Biebs accountable for paparazzo fight.

Published June 4, 2015

A Canadian court is holding Justin Bieber accountable for an ATV collision with a paparazzo in Ontario last year. According to BuzzFeed Canada, Bieber was found guilty of simple assault and careless driving Thursday.

The court ruling was the result of a plea deal, TMZ reports. Bieber will have to pay a $750 fine, while an additional charge of dangerous driving was dismissed.

The run-in happened while he and ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez were riding on an ATV, a moment “disrupted by the unwelcome presence of the paparazzi,” his lawyer said at the time.

Bieber was arrested for fighting with the photographer and crashing the ATV into his minivan.
