T.I. and Tiny, along with their sons Messiah and Domani, appeared on The Breakfast Club to promote the new season of The Family Hustle, as well as speak on their parenting, his latest restaurant venture, Scales 925, latest headlines, Iggy Azalea and more.
Tip is a walking definition of diving into different hustles, speaking about his move into the restaurant business with an upscale southern cuisine spot located in Atlanta. “The grand opening has yet to happen,” he says. “What we are doing right now is called friends and family, where we are basically just testing the style and making sure the food, from the time you order it to the time you receive it, all of our staff and kitchen line cooks and whatnot can get it out on time.”
When the conversation moves into current headlines, Tip shares his thoughts on Young Thug’s road manager PeeWee allegedly getting arrested for shooting up Lil Wayne’s tour bus in April. “Man, Wayne is a dear partner of mine. When I spoke to Wee, he say he ain’t do it. I don’t know what else to say. If I speak to him and he say he ain’t do it, it’s unfortunate that I’m in the middle of it just because PeeWee damn-near like a son to me and Wayne is a like a brother to me. I don’t know how that one gonna fly.”
Later on, the Hustle Gang leader discusses his protégé, Iggy, and how she has been handling the pressures of the music industry. “Think about it though. Think about how fast she grew into that position. It went from 0 to 100 real quick, like Drake said,” he said. “There was no right way where she could have assumed that position. It was going to be something. If it wasn’t for the slip-ups that she’s experiencing now, it would be something else. At least she don’t do drugs and go to jail. Right now, what we dealing with, I feel like with the amount of things and all the fame and the rewards that come from it, you kind of have to suck this up.”
