Chris Brown Doesn't See Eye to Eye with Daughter's Grandma

The battle over Royalty continues.

Chris Brown and his daughter’s grandmother don’t see eye-to-eye when it comes to baby Royalty. The 25-year-old had words with his baby mother’s mom via Instagram this morning, after she put him on blast first.

Nia Guzman’s mother left a comment on her Instagram account regarding Royalty’s apparent needs. Guzman’s mom says the 1-year-old should have a bodyguard at all times, a private school education, and a house in a nice neighborhood. “She needs security even when she is with Nia, she needs to go to private school and she needs to live in a gated community for his own daughter’s safety!…period!”

Breezy saw the comment floating around Instagram, and responded. “Obviously you aren’t looking out for my daughter by putting personal issues up on Instagram,” he wrote. “I’m not gonna be disrespectful and rude about this because I know, and they know, I provide and take care of my daughter equally.”

The “Liquor” singer pointed out that he has a job (as if we don’t already know this), and that Guzman will have to find work. Brown also said that he “stepped up to the plate” for his daughter, and that his daughter doesn’t need an exorbitant amount per month in child support, since she’s spending half of her time with him. “Not here to bash anyone nor be confrontational,” he wrote. “I filed for joint custody. ‘EQUAL’ custody. No kid needs 4k a week. Especially when I have her 2weeks out of the month.”

He ended promising never to speak publicly about the custody issues again, and advised Guzman’s mother to do the same. “Let the courts handle the mater as civil adults. Telling all your business is childish and is not setting a good loving environment for ROYALTY. I have no ill intention and I love my daughter.”

Guzman jumped in the mix briefly, just to say that she never went to social media to talk about her daughter, and that she can’t control what her mother does (because they “don’t even live in the same city!”). She added, “And Christopher STOP THE MADNESS!” before denying that she wants $16,000 a month in child support, and bashing the time he claims to spend with Royalty. “2 weeks a month? What? Let me stop and exit social media.”

Hopefully the family can get on the same page for Royalty’s sake.
