Update: Meek Mill Earns His First No. 1 Album

Dreams Worth More Than Money sold over 200,000 units.

UPDATE: Billboard just released the official numbers: Meek's Dreams Worth More Than Money sold 246,000 copies in the first week. Noticeably absent on the charts is Vince Staples' Summertime '06, which allegedly didn't make the top 50 because it sold under 5,000 copies. We'll keep you updated once Staples' official numbers come out.
PREVIOUS: The early numbers are in for Meek Mill, and the MMG rapper has earned his first No. 1 album with Dreams Worth More Than Money. Meek’s sophomore studio release moved over 216,000 copies in first-week sales, reports Hits Daily Double.

Miguel’s WildHeart is slated for second place with close to 40,000 units.

Billboard is expected to release official Sound Scan figures this week, but Meek can go ahead and start celebrating early. The 28-year-old made it over a serious hurdle to land the victory that is DWMTM.

This time last year, the album was delayed because Meek was sent to jail, yet he managed to bounce back nicely — and with Nicki Minaj on his arm.

His lady love also appears on DWMTM's lead single, “All Eyes on You.” Meek will join Minaj on the U.S. leg of the PinkPrint Tour beginning July 17 in Dallas.
