Statik Selektah's Final Album Is Available on Capital STEEZ's Birthday
Statik Selektah is serious about putting out his last compilation album.
Since the beginning of his career, the Boston-born DJ/producer has released seven studio albums with critically acclaimed underground favorites such as Population Control, Extended Play and What Goes Around. He’s had the rare opportunity to work with a wide range of artists: Black Thought, Talib Kweli, Bun B and Snoop Dogg to name a few. But his latest run with Joey Bada$ and his Pro Era crew shows he’s constantly looking for new talent and helping them grow as artists.
Lucky 7 is his final release under the Statik Selektah name, but he plans on producing for rappers on their future projects. In a few months, we can already look forward to his album with Slaughterhouse’s Crooked I titled Statik KXNG.
Check out a few samples from Lucky 7 below: “In the Wind,” “Beautiful Life” and “Top Tier.” He's also made the decision to release the project on Capital STEEZ's birthday, who was part of Pro Era and a young rapper that Statik wished he worked with more before his untimely passing.
You can purchase the album on iTunes now.
