UPDATE:

Jeremih got off pretty easily in his DUI case as TMZ reports that he pled no contest to one count of reckless driving with the charge being dropped. He will, however, have to complete an alcohol and drug ed course and will be on probation for two years.

It's pretty unlikely that Jeremih lived out the lyrics to his 2009 smash "Birthday Sex" as the singer spent his special night behind bars for driving under the influence.

According to TMZ, Jeremih was arrested early Friday morning (July 17) in the Valley. California Highway Patrol pulled him over around 2:15 a.m. and booked him for misdemeanour DUI.

The "Don't Tell 'Em" singer turned 28 on the day of the arrest, but, unfortunately, ended up spending the rest of his big night behind bars. His bail was set at $15,000, and he was released around 11:00 a.m.

At least this is a birthday story the singer would never forget. Never drink and drive, folks. Happy Birthday, Jeremih!
