Run the Jewels Hops in the Studio With Nas, Zack de la Rocha

A collaboration could be in the works.

Well what do we have here?

Run the Jewels, Nas and Zack de la Rocha were all in the studio together. El-P shared the photo on Instagram last night with the caption “this happened.”

One can only hope that “this” means that God’s Son spit a verse with El-P and Killer Mike. The hip hop duo previously tapped Zach de la Rocha for “Close Your Eyes (and Count to F**k)” from Run the Jewels 2, and album three is on its way.

On the other hand, the studio photo doesn’t automatically mean a recording collaboration. After all, Nas co-founded their label home, Mass Appeal Records.

From what Mike and El P said in an interview recently, it’s “too early” to talk about features for Run the Jewels 3, which they haven’t really started yet. “We’ve been on tour the whole time, so we’ve got beats and we’ve got a couple little ideas for jams,” El-P told UPROXX. “But for the most part, we’re just finishing the year touring and going in full-time next year. Once we’re done with this tour this year, we’re gone. We’re disappearing. We will emerge with either a great album, or a horrible mistake.”
