By all accounts, this isn’t right.
According to TMZ, DMX’s son, Xavier Simmons, who is a budding musician, is selling his father’s original platinum plaques on eBay. TMZ reports that Xavier wants to use the money to help jump-start his career, but we’re not sure if selling someone’s legacy is the move. He’s putting up plaques for …And Then There Was X and Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood for a total of $3,000 ($1,500 each).
X tells TMZ that he’s pretty angry at Xavier, saying that it is his property and not his son’s. He also says that Xavier should show some gratitude since he was the one who helped get him and his mother out of the projects and into a nice neighborhood.
Family feud, for real.
