Watch Kendrick Lamar’s Blazing Performance on The Late Show

King Kendrick was feeling it.

Kendrick Lamar christened Stephen Colberts The Late Show stage with a blazing performance medley from To Pimp A Butterfly last night. Rocking a row of freshly braided cornrows, and with a full band behind him, the Compton MC ran through four tracks off TPAB, including “King Kunta.”

As the first act to perform on the revamped Late Show, it’s a wonder that he didn’t leave the stage in flames, but K Dot definitely set the standard for future artists.

The new version of the long running late-night show premiered Sept. 8 with Colbert replacing David Letterman.
