Jeezy Announces Luxury Champagne Brand
Jeezy is breaking into the luxury champagne business, the rapper announced today. The new project, coined “Project Bottles” is still in the early stage, inspired the newly release track “Gold Bottles,” from his Church in the Streets album out November 13.
The Snowman partnered with Avion tequila founder, Ken Austin, for the beverage venture. “I have long loved high-end tequila and champagne and this love has inspired me to create a rich, full bodied champagne that represents my passion,” the rapper said in a statement to BET.com.
“I am fortunate to have a partner like Ken whose entrepreneurial track record includes my favorite ultra-premium tequila,” Jeezy continued. “Ken has a deep understanding of the drinks space and several luxury categories that I know will be invaluable to growing this business. I look forward to bringing a luxury champagne to my fellow artists and fans in the near future.”
In addition to the new collaboration, Jeezy will continue as an advisor for Avion Tequila.
His new champagne is expected in 2016.
