After dropping out of high school the first time around, 19-year-old Lil Bibby now knows that “knowledge is power.” In a January interview, Bibby told Sway in the Morning that he left school because education wasn’t necessarily prioritized in his Chicago neighborhood.

With just one credit needed to graduate, Bibby opted for a GED. Once he completed the high school equivalency requirements (with straight As, no less), the rapper went a step further by re-enrolling in school.

He has since earned a diploma from Chicago’s Liberty High School. Bibby showed off the diploma via Instagram today, with a dedication to his mom, grandma and Sway in the Morning host Sway Calloway.  

What’s next for Bibby now that he’s done with high school? He’s going to college and releasing a new album, Free Crack 3, sometime soon.
