Freeway is committed to bring more awareness to kidney failure since being diagnosed with the health disorder early last month. The onetime Roc-A-Fella artist, who has been undergoing dialysis, will participate in the Philadelphia Kidney Walk Oct. 11.

The charity fundraiser, put on by the National Kidney Foundation, aims to call attention to the prevention of kidney disease, as well as a need for organ donors. The walks will be held all over the country. 

Earlier today, Freeway met with NKF to discuss future collaborations. The 37-year-old MC's team for the upcoming kidney walk is called the "Philly Freedom Fighters."
