Curren$y, Dame Dash Reach Settlement in $3 Million Lawsuit
The three-year-old legal bout between Curren$y and Dame Dash has come to a close. According to The Jasmine Brand, Dash and the New Orleans rapper settled a $3 million lawsuit last week, though the terms are sealed.
Spitta intially filed a $1.5 million suit against Dash in 2012, a couple years after their BluRoc label deal went sour. He later signed to Warner Bros. records, but accused Dash of illegally releasing his music.
In a new motion, Curren$y sought $2.9 million in damages from Dash, and $95,000 to cover legal fees. The case was closed on October 2 after a judge confirmed the settlement.
