Here Are More Details on Rihanna's ANTI

RiRi will have seven unique images with poems for the LP.

Last night at the MAMA Gallery in Los Angeles, Rihanna finally gave what all her fans have been waiting for. She revealed the artwork to her upcoming album, which will be called ANTI. She has scrapped the concept of #R8 completely.

In an Instagram post, Rihanna describes what the meaning behind the title is.

ANTI

1. A person opposed to a particular policy, activity, or idea.

In her collaboration with Roy Nachum, Rihanna has changed the history of album art. By continuing to follow her own instincts, her work thrives to make an impact by doing the very antithesis of what the public expects.

Now, she has more in store. According to a press release, ANTI will be accompanied by seven images — one’s actually the cover. The back cover (which you can see here), is an oil painting of the girl with the gold crown in the main image. Both will feature Braille poetry by Chloe Mitchell.

Furthermore, five more paintings will be included in the album’s artwork, which will have poetry in Braille by Nachum. RiRi’s team says this will be the first time an album has incorporated physical Braille on the hard copies.

Below is the information on each image and its accompanying poem.

Poet: Chloe Mitchell

I sometimes fear that I am misunderstood.
It is simply because what I want to say,
what I need to say, won’t be heard.
Heard in a way I so rightfully deserve.
What I choose to say is of so much substance
That people just won’t understand the depth of my message.
So my voice is not my weakness,
It is the opposite of what others are afraid of.
My voice is my suit and armor,
My shield, and all that I am.
I will comfortably breath in it, until I find the moment to be silent.
I live loudly in my mind, so many hours of the day.
The world is pin drop sound compared to the boom
That thumps and bumps against the walls of my cranium.
I live it and love it and despise it and I am entrapped in it.
So being misunderstood, I am not offended by the gesture, but honored.
If they let us…
