Wiz Khalifa's 'See You Again' Is the First Rap Video to Hit a Billion Views

Khalifa reaches digital milestone.

Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" is the first rap video to reach a billion views on You Tube. The platinum-selling single, featuring Charlie Puth, crossed the record-breaking marker this week.

“See You Again is not only the first rap video to hit a billion views but is also the fastest video to hit a billion on YouTube. Wow. Thank u,” Puth tweeted yesterday.

The single was released in March, on the Furious 7 soundtrack. The music video, directed by Marc Klansfeld, is the 10th to reach a billion. Korean artist Psy tops the list with over 2 billion views of “Gagnam Style.”
