Yung Berg Offered Plea Deal in Masika Tucker Assault Case

Rapper-turned-reality star allegedly attacked ex-girlfriend last year.

Former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood castmate Yung Berg has been offered a plea deal in his assault case involving ex-girlfriend Masika Tucker. He was accused of choking her last year in New York City.

Bossip reports that prosecutors from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office offered the "Sexy Can I" MC the opportunity to plead guilty to harassment for his physical assault on Tucker. His actions are legally considered a violation, not a crime, therefore limiting his mandatory penalty to attending a batterer's intervention program in either New York City or Los Angeles.

He is currently facing assault charges, in addition to attempted assault and harassment charges for the reported incident. The NYPD detained him last November for allegedly stifling Tucker in their shared hotel room after noticing his credit card was declined. He was fired from the Love & Hip Hop franchise days later.

According to Berg's attorney Xavier Donaldson, he would accept the deal if prosecutors agreed to drop the assault charges. He failed to appear in court on Thursday for the brief hearing, but is due again later this week.

The judge extended an order of protection between the the exes until February 2016.
