This Is 'WTF' Missy Elliott and Pharrell Created for Her New Single

Misdemeanor debuts song on ESPN.

With more than a decade since her last album, and eight months since she lit up Katy Perrys Super Bowl halftime show, taking it slow is an understatement for Missy Elliott, but the wait for new music officially ended tonight.

As promised on Twitter earlier in the day, Elliott premiered a clip of "WTF," her new single with Pharrell, during Monday Night Football. The snippet debuted in a commercial for the new NBA season.

Elliott’s hiatus from music was both personal and health related. She revealed a Graves' Disease diagnosis in 2008 and explained the creative side of her break from the spotlight last year. "When I create something, it's gotta be special and it can't just be to throw something out there because I feel like I'm Missy," she said in an interview. "I gotta feel like what I'm giving fans is 100 percent and that it's game-changing. I don't just throw out microwave records."

“WTF” has a nice bouncy beat and definitely sounds like a slow-cooked creation from the minds of Elliott and Skateboard P.

Welcome back Missy!
