In an in-depth interview from Germany the Muslim MC, who has a residence in Paris, condemned terrorism while pointing to a larger disconnect within humanity.
“This is the time to be talking about the dignity and nobility of being a human being,” said Bey. “This is what’s really at stake. They’re trying to turn us into machines…The states, the politicians, the so-called doers of good who claim to have the interests of the planet at heart, and it’s a lie.”
Bey also had a message for ISIS. “And, by the way, a big giant ‘F**K OFF TO ISIS.’ You don’t represent nothing about Islam or nothing about the prophet. And another giant ‘F**K OFF’ to everybody trying to say ’see, this is Islam’s fault.’”
Further, Bey said that the shooting of 12-year-old Rice by an Ohio police officer should be as relevant as the Paris tragedies because both involve loss of innocent lives. “The state kills children and say that they’re justified in murdering children,” he continued.” They kill unarmed people and say that they’re justified in doing it. I need everybody who’s sad about Paris to be just as sad and angry about Tamir Rice and all of these young, innocent people dying over nothing.”
