Justin Bieber Pens Message to Friend Killed in Paris Attacks

"I wish I would’ve had more time to thank him."

The Paris terrorist attacks claimed the lives of over 120 victims, one of which was a member of Justin Bieber’s team. Universal Music Group confirmed executive Thomas Ayad’s death over the weekend. 

"I cannot even begin to express the depth of my sorrow," UMG Chairman Lucian Grainge wrote in a letter to the Los Angeles Times. "On behalf of everyone here at UMG, we extend our most profound sympathies to his parents and all of his friends and family."

On Monday, Bieber penned a heartfelt message thanking Ayad. “Still thinking about Paris and my friend Thomas that we lost in the tragedy.” Bieber wrote. “He was a part of the team for years and I wish I would’ve had more time to thank him. Make sure to appreciate people while you have them. Thank you Thomas for everything you did for me. You are appreciated and missed. Thoughts an prayers are with your family & friends #PrayForParis.”

Ayad worked as an international project manager for UMG. He was among 89 killed when gunmen swarmed the Bataclan theater during a concert for American band Eagles of Death Metal.
