Lil Boosie took to Instagram today to announce he has kidney cancer.

“I need all my fans to pray for me,” he captioned in the post next to a picture of him sitting at a table. “Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is a power that’s why I’m letting the world know prayfaboosie.”

TMZ is reporting that the Louisiana native’s team didn’t want the news of his medical condition to get out to the general public, which is apparently why the caption was removed shortly after it was posted.

At only 33, Boosie has been living with diabetes for years. He was also released from prison last year after a five-year stint for drug charges.

Even though he didn’t officially hashtag it, #prayfaboosie should be official as BET sends condolences to Boosie during this difficult time.
