Timbaland Gifts Unreleased Aaliyah Song, 'Shakin'
Timbaland's defense of Aaliyah's legacy came full circle this holiday season, when he unleashed an unreleased song from baby girl.
"Shakin," off his new mixtape King Stays King, is a time machine to the '90s with a hint of "Try Again" and a healthy dose of her innocent sexiness.
"Baby, you nasty boy, it's been a minute/ And I could say my life has changed, since you hit it/ This is your strongest trait, you work the middle," she sings.
Timbo had promised that he has Aaliyah vocals in the vault about a year after he went off on the Lifetime biopic, and a few years after he and Missy Elliott gave the side eye to Drake's project. No word yet on where more of her undropped songs may land.
King Stays King also features Migos, Mila J, Tink, 2 Chainz, Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug.
