A$AP Rocky Says the People Should Decide if Travi$ Scott Is a Biter

"I feel like that whole situation sound petty," he said.

A$AP Rocky had a busy 2015 and it seems he’s looking to do the same this year.

The Harlem native and A$AP Mob co-founder recently sat down with Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning and spoke about last year’s AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP album, the forthcoming Yams Day concert and something else that’s taken his attention away from strictly music or fashion: comparisons between him and Kanye West protégé Travi$ Scott.

Here’s the back story: A$AP Nast recently ripped off a series of videos where he refers to the Houston rapper as an A$AP Mob biter when it comes to look and fashion. Scott has yet to respond but Ebro asked Rocky about it and he actually seemed to take Travi$’s side.

“If you gonna do something and influence people, you can’t be arrogant about it when somebody gets inspired,” he said when asked about Nast’s comments. “When people get inspired, you can’t fault them for that. That makes you look crazy.”

The conversation continued as A$AP Rocky reaffirmed his position on Travi$ Scott’s authenticity and called the whole situation “petty.”

“That’s instigation,” he said. “You’re hearing it from me. Let shorty rock. And let the people decide if he a biter or if he authentic. I’m not saying everybody should be allowed to just take [from] whoever got going on. I’m not implying that. I feel like that whole situation sound petty.”

Also during the interview, A$AP Rocky spoke about A$AP Yams's forthcoming posthumous Cozy Tapes project and described it as a compilation effort similar to Dipset’s Diplomatic Immunity or Ruff Ryders Entertainment’s Ryde or Die Vol. 1.

“It’s the Yams album that he was working on before he passed,” he said. “So it’s basically an A$AP collective. Like your Ruff Ryders Volume 1 type, Ryde or Die Vol. 1 or like Diplomatic Immunity.”
