The rapper insists it wasn't because the audience was bored.
Lil Wayne walked off the stage during a performance in Milan, Italy, last night, but he's dismissing the rumors that it's because the audience seemed less than interested in what he had to say. Weezy’s rep told TMZ that his sudden departure was because the rapper was frustrated by the venues technical difficulties during the show, and that there were problems with his mic.
Wayne was performing overseas as part of the Phillippe Plein show at Milan Fashion Week. A video recording of the concert shows Wayne jumping onto a platform on stage yelling, “put your mother****** hands up!” Only a few in the crowd complied. He then turns back, seemingly talking to someone off stage and speaks into his microphone, “This is what you want me to do? You serious?”
A later clip shows the rapper trying to overcome the difficulties, but his frustration peaks and he tosses his microphone into the air before walking off stage.
It appears that Lil Wayne’s trip to Italy has been almost entirely negative. The rapper tweeted out his opinion of the country and its people yesterday:
