Is Iggy Azalea’s Record Label Holding Her Back?
Iggy Azalea’s new single won’t be getting the visual treatment. The rapper says her label blocked her from shooting a music video for “Azillion” because the reception to the buzz track “wasn’t good enough.”
Azalea dropped the details on Twitter last night. She says Virgin/EMI President Ted Cockle doesn’t like the song. “I feel like it was dope so, whatever” she tweeted. “Ted Cockle doesn’t wanna see me shine. What can I say.”
“Azillion” made it’s debut Jan. 9 and has racked up more than 880,000, but less than 10,000 “likes” from listeners. The track leads Azalea’s upcoming sophomore album, Digital Distortion.
