Rihanna Confirmed to Perform at 2016 Grammys

This year's awards give RiRi's Navy a new reason to tune in.

2016 is off to a wonderful start for R&B’s bad gal, Rihanna.

A week after the release of Rih’s highly anticipated album, ANTI, today [Feb. 5], the Recording Academy announced that Rihanna will perform at the 2016 Grammy awards, airing on CBS on February 15.

As if Rihanna needs an excuse to sport the finest threads, she is sure to dazzle at this year’s awards.

ANTI, after being leaked early on streaming service Tidal, has since been dubbed a platinum record by the RIAA, and her current single, “Work,” has climbed to No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Other performers that have since been announced include Adele, James Bay, Andra Day, Ellie Goulding, Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, Carrie Underwood, the Weeknd, Little Big Town and the Broadway cast of Hamilton.

Special tributes will be handled by Lady Gaga, paying homage to the late David Bowie, while Chris Stapleton will team up with Gary Clark Jr. and Bonnie Raitt to honor the legendary B.B. King.

Also set to perform thus far is Justin Bieber, performing his Grammy-nominated hit single “Where Are U Now” alongside producers Diplo and Skrillex, as well as Robin Thicke and Travis Barker. It has also been confirmed that the Hollywood Vampires, aka Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry, will make their debut on television together during the annual awards presentation.

Kendrick Lamar leads this year’s nominations at an impressive 11, stating confidently that he “wants to win all the Grammys.”

With Rihanna joining 2016's impressive lineup, the Grammys are certainly something to not be missed this year.
