#Grammys2016: Kendrick Lamar Clears Space in His Trophy Case

K. Dot adds the Grammy for Best Rap Album to his growing collection.

Kendrick Lamar is already cleaning up house at tonight’s Grammys Awards.

To Pimp a Butterfly won the highly-coveted Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, beating out J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive, Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, Nicki Minaj’s The Pinkprint and Dr. Dre’s Compton.

During his acceptance speech, Lamar thanked his family, God and his crew at Top Dawg Entertainment, all with a huge grin appropriately plastered on his face.

“This is for hip hop,” he said, dedicated the award to his beloved genre. “This is for Snoop Dogg, Doggystyle, this is for Illmatic, this is for Nas. We will live forever — believe that.”

Best Rap Album was the first to be televised on the night and was presented by Ice Cube and his son, O'Shea Jackson Jr

With 11 nominations, the rapper has already taken home awards for Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Music Video.

None of us are mad either, save for those running against him. Someone go check on Drake.

Congrats, Kendrick!
