Brandy isn’t happy with her record label and is taking action against it.
According to the Associated Press the songstress is suing Chameleon Entertainment Group, alleging they kept her from recording or dropping new music since the release of her last album Two Eleven back in 2012.
The contract Brandy signed in 2011 with Chameleon was a five-album deal but only one has surfaced. According to the lawsuit, Brandy is claiming that Chameleon isn’t letting her record because they want her to sign a new deal with them. It also says she’s since dissolved her contract with the label and is seeking a judgment that it is void.
Prior to inking a deal with Chameleon, Brandy was signed to Epic Records for a brief period after being with Atlantic for most of her career. She released “Beggin & Pleadin” through BET earlier this year, but it was her first musical release in a long time.
