Ashanti's stalker, Devar Hurd, is finally about to be put behind bars, but he might not be there for too long.
According to The Grio, Hurd was sentenced by a judge to serve between 16 months and four years of prison time, but since this isn't his first go 'round — he's already served 32 months in jail for violating a restraining order — he will receive credit.
The ultimate length of his prison stay depends on the Department of Corrections, which will decide not only how long his sentence should be, but also if he will stay there for the remainder of the time, if any at all.
The "Only U" singer's worries should be appeased now as even once he is released from prison, a new restraining order will prevent him from contacting both her and her family for the next five years.
