You Can Meet A Tribe Called Quest Today

They're holding a Phife Dawg memorial in Queens.

Phife Dawg passed away late last month and in honor of his death fans and his community alike will be able to pay homage today (April 4).

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. EST anyone interested will be able to line up to meet the full group and even win something in the process.

“To all our loving fans: Please meet us at St. Albans Park in Queens, NY on April 4th at 10:30am,” A Tribe Called Quest posted on Smokinneedles.com. “The first 200 fans to arrive will receive something very special!”

The hip hop world has been paying their respects to Phife since he passed. A physical memorial, which would co-name Queens’ Linden Boulevard between 192nd Street and 193rd Street, “A Tribe Called Quest Boulevard,” has been proposed. Talib Kweli also recently penned a remembrance piece in honor of his fallen friend.
