Lyor Cohen Survives Pulmonary Embolism

The music industry executive is on the path to recovery.

“If it wasn’t for my son, and my best friend, Norm, I would have been a goner,” said 300 Entertainment founder Lyor Cohen, in a report from HipHopWired. After being hospitalized for a pulmonary embolism, the culprit in Heavy D’s death, Cohen is still in recovery as he shared the news on SnapChat.

The importance of maintaining great health has been reiterated as strong as ever in recent years, especially with the rise of veganism. Daily exercise contributed to 56-year-old Cohen’s survival from the blockage of a blood vessel in his lungs. Blood clots have the strongest potential to be life threatening. Body maintenance and monitoring intake, as well as visiting the doctor for check-ups, are crucial.

We would like to wish Cohen a speedy recovery, but he’ll be all good.
