Psychology Today  fired Satoshi Kanazawa, the writer behind the incendiary “Why Are Black Women Less Physically Attractive Than Other Women? Why Black Women, but Not Black Men?” article.

Along with issuing an aplogy late last month, this is good news, but it still doesn’t answer the question How could the magazine's editors not have seen what a dumb and insulting idea the article was?

The scorching went viral when Color of Change.org, a site dedicated to “strengthening Black America's political voice” weighed in asking its members to demand an apology from the magazine and that the writer be fired.

Consequently more than 70,000 people responded to that charge and sent Psychology Today their opinions of how they feel and what they know about the actual beauty of Black women.
